Size: Shoulder height: Toy 9-12 inches, Miniature 12-15 inches , Standard 15-19 inches.  Weight: Toy 6-10lbs, Miniature 10-20lbs, Standard 18-35lbs.

Coat: The American Eskimo has a double coat with a dense undercoat and a longer coat of hair that grows through it to form the outer coat. The coat colors are white or cream.

Character: This breed is generally a very good companionship dog.  It is also intelligent but can be independent.

Temperament: American Eskimos are fun-loving, affectionate and have a very high energy level.

Care: They need brushed twice a week and even more when they are shedding.

Training: They are highly trainable but can be rather mischievous.  These dogs are very intelligent and they love to please.

Activity: They are known for being extremely active dogs and must get daily exercise. 20-40 minute walks everyday day is suggested.
