I have an amazing 3 year old Beaglier. She is so attached to me. She needs to sit touching me almost always. She was a little difficult to train to go outside, but that was for sure a stubborn issue and not a matter of her intelligence. It wasn't until after she was 1 though that she bought into the idea of the bell or alerting us that she needed to go outside. But, for the past two years, we've had no issues at all. She travels well with us and just needs a few reminders in a hotel that she doesn't need to be so aware of people outside or in the halls. She is very aware. She is not a barker, which is nice. On walks, everyone asks about her because she looks like a puppy and is so cute! She is curious on walks (leashed) but isn't really that distracted by other people or dogs. I highly recommend the breed, but it hasn't seemed to catch on yet in the US.

We have two beagliers. We got both of them when they were puppies. Sophie will be 3 years old in September and Oliver will be 3 next March. They are the sweetest dogs. Both are curious and very playful. They do like to eat and do tend to put the pounds on. They are intelligent and a joy to be with. We love them so much. They get into everything and they require a lot of supervision, but I love every minute of it. They are very good when we leave them at home. They pretty much stay on our be when we are gone. I am so happy we decided on beagliers. I would not have any other breed. Allthough, we did acquire another dog last August. She is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is a lovely little dog, but the beagliers have her beat when it comes to that curious, playful, and sometimes stubborn personality. If you are thinking of a beaglier, I say go for it. There will never be a dull moment.

I have owned a Beagle. And I have owned a King Charles cavalier. Can not imagine a more precious dog than this combination.

We had a beautiful dog named Barney for 13.5 years. He was the love of everyone who met him. He looked like a beagle but was so good that we could take him off the leash and he would not run away which is not like any beagle. Very good natured but did not like to be left alone. Also did not like small children but was better with ages 6 and up. With the mix you can get the beauty of the beagle with the good temperament of the spaniel.

I have a beagle puppy, who is my life. Her name was Esther, but it is now Piper, and she is the sweetest and cutest thing. I love her, it is a great breed that is easy to train.

My male Beaglier is 5 years old now - he is a dog of his own mind. I don't mean that he is hard to train, very easily housebroken and learns commands quickly. I agree with another reviewer - they are food driven and pack on the pounds quickly. I have mine on Beneful Weight Management, but he will steal something when you are not looking and still gain weight. Mine loves to play, but running around is not his style - he likes to play tug, but mostly wants to cuddle or watch TV on the couch. He lives a leisurely life (Aaah, if we could all live a life like that). He just lost his older sister a week ago. She was a rescued Pointer Mix, a mother nature kind of dog - best dog I ever had - My Beaglier's name is Linus - he couldn't keep up with Emma - he would sit in the middle of the yard and watch her go. She was 16 years old and we had to send her off to heaven when her organs started shutting down and she couldn't eat any more. We are looking for a sister for Linus - a Beaglier sister.
