Miracle is aptly named…but the name dosen’t stick as well as simply “Puppy,” which she responds to just the same. So we go back and forth.

 

Sascha was supposed to be on a break…but gave us a surprise (we can explain–sort of–it’s still a bit of a mystery) litter of three female beauties on the evening of January 24th. Miracle was the last to be born, and upon birth, she was warm to the touch but wasn’t breathing. We immediately initiated (for the first time ever) puppy CPR and between chest compressions, some mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and a lot of licks and nudges from momma, we brought her back. She’s been thriving ever since, the largest of the litter, and is quite the character–always barking and growling and playing. We fully expect a clean bill of health on her first vet visit in the coming week.

 

Her two sisters, both chocolates, were nabbed almost immediately, leaving Miracle the last to find a forever home. She’s available to leave the roost the weekend of March 21st.
