One of the best decisions I've ever made! Personality plus! Smart. Almost human, I swear. A companion through and through. Athletic, watchdog, loving, playful, patient, easily trainable.

I was crazy about my last Boston Terrier! They are real people dogs and require an investment in time every day! There are health concerns with the eyes. And they are prone to skin problems which my vet and I disagreed as to the cause. She unfortunately got cancer at 7 years and died, but I think she had some unusual underlying conditions which were not particular to her breed, and were never diagnosed correctly. I think I had her spayed too early. Now breeders are saying to wait 2 years.

I got my boston puppy a little under a year ago. He was a little manic before getting neutered, but after the procedure he became the perfect dog. He is chill, but willing to get good exercise. He's not big or scary, and he is really good with kids. He is the cutest thing ever. He snuggles, and gives doggy kisses. The one down fall is that he snores a little.

We’ve had our Boston nearly 7 years. Rupert is sweet, loving and so intelligent. He loves his walks and he loves his family. He does not bark we live in a retirement village and everyonee there knows our Rupie.! He’s been around other animals and people his entire life, I even take him with me when I visit sick relatives or friends at the hospital. We got him when he was tiny…..6 weeks old. He was in a puppy mill situation when we got him, but we didn’t know it until the end of the interview. The woman who had him was only interested in how much money she could get for him. We were there at just the right time to take him as he was not well. He was extremely tiny, didn’t eat right and just slept most of the time. We believe Rupert would have died if we hadn’t adopted him. Once we took him to our Vet, he got his puppy vaccines and began eating and growing. Now he is a 22 pound Boston, and a clown. We love him so much! So glad we have our boy!

My female Boston is twelve years old now. She is amazing, she has such a spunky personality and loves to cuddle. She is the biggest cuddle bug we have ever had and loves being warm underneath the blankets. She does have some anxiety but it isn't so bad since my mother works from home. As a puppy she was more of a rough player so as kids it was a bit much at first but nothing consistent training can't fix. She is amazing and I would recommend a Boston to anyone.

I have had several Boston’s in my lifetime. They are so much fun! High energy and very outgoing! My current baby is 12 years old. She still let’s the puppy side of her out when you show her a ball or frisbee! I’m sure I will have another one when my current baby leaves us. To be her age, she really is still very active and still has lots of energy for play time! Boston Terrier Bulldogs are the absolute GREATEST small breed!

Boston Terrier Breed Review by Donna Cooper

Probably the most wonderful dog/ loyal loving companion I have had. She was my soul/sole house companion for nearly 14 yrs when she passed on Mar 16,2021. I miss her terribly and hope to find another beautiful female eventually. Right now I’m still in the mourning phase. I can’t even explain the sorrow and how it gripped me for several weeks after she passed. She was for nearly 13 years plus an extremely healthy robust dog. She was my friend. She would latch onto the grand children and pick one each time she was around them and not leave their side. She was very protective. She was not much for other dogs. Since she lives with me alone and I’m in a retirement community she did not socialize a lot. Except for those that might walk by. She loved to travel. She rode with me many times from Florida to Atlanta to Mississippi to Illinois and so on and so forth. But when I would say you want to go to Ruby‘s house that was her name she would jump up and open the car door and she would jump right into her kennel. I always attached her kennel with a seatbelt and put her little bed in it in the backseat. She was amazing she was funny she was lively but the last year + of her life things were slower. she became deaf and her eyes had the blue opaque. When she went downhill it was fast and it was mostly related to her heart which I did understand. I did have her euthanized and cremated and her ashes were certified beautifully done up with some great Momentos with clay paw prints. Here in Florida where I live planned pet hood is amazing and they are associated with faithful friends Who processes the ashes. It was the most beautiful experience and yet heart wrenching that I have been through. We always had the family dog and I had a Yorky for 15 years but it was also my children’s and my husband‘s dog. Ruby was my July birthday present from my family in 2007. She was a gem. God rest her spirit.

We have owned Dalmatians, Cocker Spaniels and now a Boston Terrier. We loved them all, but our current little gentleman has far more personality. Frank never meets a stranger and runs for his toy when someone knocks or rings the door bell. He has traveled many miles in the RV with us and adapts well to new situations. He is very loyal and is most often by my side. This breed is intelligent and learns commands and tricks easily. There’s next to no grooming needs and shedding is minimal. I highly recommend this breed to anyone; singles, families, seniors. They love their people as long as you love them!! Just a fantastic little dog for all.

We simply could not be happier with our Boston "Stevie." Remarkably quick study. Full of playful energy when appropriate and returns to an affectionate baseline chill in an instant when called for. LOVES other dogs. LOVES PEOPLE of all ages; and they LOVE her back. House broken in the matter of a month or two with very few accidents. Slept through the night from day one. Feels secure in her cage and is a wonderful traveler. The reputation of the breed being...shall I say...a "room clearer" is 100% diet related in our experience. Very happy with combination of "Open Farm" brand, lamb mixed with white fish flavor. Seems to agree with her very well. Thus far, (10 months) she is only an occasional "snorer" and typically only for a couple of inhales, and not too loud at all. Loves snow...loves to "zoom"...loves tennis-ball fetch...loves to greet you...loves to be petted...loves select toys (usually the one you'd never guess)... Bottom line, we could not be happier with our Boston. The breed is absolutely engaging and truly comical; yet they also love to snuggle (for hours if you let them.) Stevie FAR exceeded our expectations. I could go on and on...maybe it was the luck of the draw...but of the numbers of people who strike up conversations upon seeing Stevie out for a walk, they all reminisce fondly about the Boston they currently have or had in their lives.

I believe that is one of the most friendly small size breeds available. They are super intelligent they pick up on potty training, learning new commands extremely good. They have a great personality and are always willing to please. Their coat to maintain is minimal, a monthly bath and because their coats are so fine, I find it practically hardly the need for brushing him. He only has a very slight seasonal shedding so I never find tumble weeds on my floors. I LOVE my Gentleman Boston Terrier- Georgie he has brought lots of love and happiness to my life.

Had her for 15 years. I miss her so much. Trying to find another. But I can't afford the high prices. If you would have a small female. Maybe some imperfections that would maybe bring her price to around 400. I know that's low. But don't care if she has papers, only care that she's female, small and able to be housebound. She would be very loved and spoiled.

I have owned a few different breeds of dogs thru my life and Boston's have them all beat hands down .unfortunately I lost one a few weeks ago and in the process of getting another . As you can't replace the one you lost you can only give another one a good loving home and you will love it just as much as they are the best companions and appreciate and give the love back .I still have a male and looking for a female my male Cody misses tessie as much as I do it's a shame they don't live as long as parrots 80 years it's hard to say goodbye

we got our Boston here 3 years ago and it was the best decision we ever made. The whole family loves him so much. Truly the sweetest, funniest, most loving dog ever. He is a big baby scared of thunder and loud noises. Bostons are family dogs that like to be by your side. They are smart but can be stubborn. Full of personality our Boston truly entertains us with his antics. Highy recommend if your looking for easygoing, laidback, family friendly dog.

They are the most fun-loving dog on earth. They are very smart and easy to train. I would not recommend this dog for someone who is not home a lot as they thrive with attention. Good training during the puppy phase will lead to an awesome adult Boston. Lots of chew toys!

You won\'t be disappointed with this dog! They learn extremely fast and are affectionate dogs. Grooming is super easy as well as bathing. They do get very cold or very hot quickly on the typical cold winter day or hot summer day. The Boston Terrier is honestly the sweetest dog I ever had. Plus, they look great in a bow tie.

The Boston Terrier is a friendly and happy-go-lucky canine breed. Commonly known as the “American Gentleman”, this dog is easily trainable and protective of its owner. Boston Terriers enjoy being around people and other animals, if properly socialized. They are good with apartment living, but should be walked daily. They also require a moderate amount of grooming. This breed originated around 1870 in Boston. In 1893, the American Kennel Club recognized the Boston Terrier, making it the first US breed to be recognized. When distinguishing this breed to AKC standard, color and markings are important. They should be black, brindle, or seal with white markings.
