We were not particularly a dog family but then Clem joined our lives. Clem was an Argentine brittany that took our hearts as soon as he entered our home. We loved him dearly, we enjoyed each run in the park, each trip to Patagonia and all the moments we spent with him. Unfortunately Clem was hit by a car a few days ago and even if he will always live in our hearts he made us realize that we are definitely a dog family and a Brittany one in particular.

Iam 69 years old and have had dogs my entire life and always a different breed, the last one being a britt. Maggie passed away several weeks ago and left a large hole in my heart, best companion I ever had. She was 14 years old and grew up with the grandchildren and was excellent with kids no matter how much they laid on top of her and pulled her hair. Best breed ever,

I have owned 2 brittany’s the past 16 years. One I got from ABR as a rescue and the other as a puppy from a reputable breeder. The rescue was a female on the small side like 25-30 pounds but man she was bullet proof and loved to chase anything that moved. She lived 16 years and never had any major health issues. The male just passed away today and had just turned 14. He too had little serious health issues but liked to chew things and was not nearly as interested in chasing things, he liked to watch his sister but he was not nearly as obsessed with the birds and squirrels as she was. Both were amazing dogs in their own way the male was my buddy and never left my side while the female was very friendly I never felt like she was happy on the couch she was in her heaven chasing whatever she could. While I am still grieving the loss of them I am definitely going to have another one in the future. My life is just not the same without them.

Yes I have,I had her for 8 and 1/ 2 years. She was the best little girl I have ever had. She was so funny and smart I can't believe it that's she is gone now. I had to put her down , she got sick I couldn't stand to see her in do much pain. She never was a problem to me. She was so loving and snoopy. Always seeing what I was doing. I miss her so much, it's lonely with out her.

I have had 2 of these dogs. They were both excellent for quail hunting as well as family pets. Very good temperament. Easier to train than English Setters. Very good with sall children 1, 2 ,3 year olds
