I got my puppy when he was 6 weeks old, he is now a year old and what an ADVENTURE it has been. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that he would be 65lbs. The funniest thing is that he’s real sneaky, if I’m missing my socks or my wallet I can be certain that he’s the culprit, I just have to go on a wild goose chase to find my items. My pup is very territorial, doesn’t allow strangers to get close to me, he takes me for a walk:) and LOVES to lean in for hugs. Potty training was easy. It is essential that they get exercise. You’ve got to see it to believe it but if he wants the squirrel that’s in the tree then he’s going up to get it. Now getting back down is definitely a challenge but give ‘em time, they’ll definitely figure it out.

Absolutely awesome breed! Adopted my Paco at 10w... Great with children, Intelligent, Loving, Obedient, Loyal & loved clowning. Serve meals ON TIME or be prepared for the most Sorrowful whining you’ll ever hear from any human or beast! Loved him from age 10w until his death 14y later... would always share a home with Catahoula , luckily for me I still get to share my home with my other Catahoula mix also a rescue.

Catahoulas are great dogs they are very friendly but I have 5 all from different breeders and 3 out of 5 are extremely food aggressive !!! They are absolutely beautiful and very active hunting dogs!
