I got Lucy, my goldendoodle, six years ago. She is a really fast learner and is an absolute sweetheart. She is content sitting on the couch and lounging around or going on walks and playing in the backyard. She does happy pee, but we've come up with a system that reduces how often that happens. Lucy is epileptic (which isn't super common in the breed), which poses some challenges, but overall I recommend goldendoodles. Something to keep in mind though, is the amount of grooming that goldendoodles require.

Our Golden Doodle is a love bug. He just wants to be pet and have everyone in the house to acknowledge him and pay attention to him. Very high energy but definitely not a watch dog. He listens to commands when he feels like it and barks at us if he doesn’t want to do what he’s told. Great dog with an excellent temperament!

I have a 5 year old male goldendoodle named Charlie. He is high energy and super smart so its hard to outwit him! There is little to no shedding. My dog has fir/hair is more like a poodle so our groomer bill is larger than expected. He is great with puppies and most adults. He doesn't like men who wear hats and have beards. He is an excellent watch dog and has an enormous bark. I think of him as my home alarm system. He loves to run and retrieve. He loves water and is patient when we are giving him a bath. He is very affectionate and wants to be included in all our activites. He can open a door with his nose. A fun and affectionate breed!ill lovingly rest his head on my thigh and lean in against my body, I think he thinks he is a lap dog because he will try if I am on the floor.

I got my golden doodle about four years ago, and he is AMAZING!! Huckleberry loves playing with his friends and he is great with people. He has never been aggressive EVER and he is sooo snugly and sweet. Over this quarantine he has been so funny. Owned Labrador for 14.5 years. We then adopted a standard Labradoodle until his demise at 8.5 years from a brain tumor. We are hoping to adopt a Goldendoodle, preferably a male. We are recently retired and do all our work in our home via the computer about 2-3 hours during the day. Once a month Dr. Gorfinkel teaches “cardiology at GW. Our schedule is flexible,. We love walking with our dogs numerous times a day. We have several dog parks and the beautiful trails all around the DC Metro area.

We have had our Doodle for a year now. We purchased Duck from the Stolzfus family in Parkesville. He shed his puppy fur but after being clipped he has not shed at all. He has a good heart and not a mean bone in his body. He like to play with toys and balls. Loves to run. He's very trainable. He's a little rambunctious but settles down fast. Great family dog and we highly recommend this breed.

Our golden doodle , Bella, whose original name was Ava, was purchased from Norman Miller, breeder, in Fredericksburg, Ohio on December 1, 2018. She is now 12 weeks old and the delight of my life. She is so funny, very easy to train. She torments our mini schnauzer but they love each other. She has a great personality, and is so loving. I have nothing negative to say about her or the breed.
