I had one he was 8 weeks old ,when I bought him .He ,just past away 2 weeks ago .Of bone cancer .It was very hard for me he was my best friend he was black. What was so hard I have bone cancer my self .so could not do anything to help him .because my bills are so.up there .his name was Thor. My best friend miss him so.much .I would like to get another one and call him Thor Junior.i have a 72 Cadillac that I am restoring and it's called Thor 72 after my dog one of these days I'm going to paint it pink and beige and everything to donate it to my dog.the breed is one of the best dogs.Irs not a dog a person...

We just put down our fifth Dane Otis. He was our constant companion. We are old and on SS and are endeavoring to find a puppy we can afford as we will go out with a Dane! Love the breed and cannot introduce another kind on our 10+ acres with turkeys, chickens, ducks, and 2 cats. Looking for someone to help as this is our breed...good with grandchildren, animals, us. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A DANE.

this is an amazing dog. they are sweet and loving and protective. they need good care and are good in any environment. they love kids and need to be trained well.YOU NEVER HIT A GREAT DANE. you never know how they will react. ours will just growl at you.they have a loud bark.if you get a great dane, have fun! they are amazing dogs!
