We got Henry from Greenfield Puppies in October 2022. He's an absolute delight. Very healthy and just wonderful. He loves to walk around on his hind legs and play. I had never heard of this breed before getting him. The pros) his small size makes him quite portable, 2) He's great with kids and other animals, 3) he's very happy and affectionate. Cons) 1. He took almost a year to housebreak. He's completely trustworthy now but if you don't have patience with potty training, it might not be the breed for you. 2) if something catches his attention, he bolts off so he can't be trusted off the leash. 3) He's very clingy. I'm home all day so it's no problem for me but this dog would be miserable if I worked all day. I keep his fur in a short puppy clip so brushing and grooming isn't a problem and he doesn't shed. Havanese are a wonderful small breed.

We have a four year old Havanese named Ted. He is a great companion, was easy to house train, loves to do tricks, is great with children and babies, loves to be with us, and loves to play fetch. He does have some separation anxiety (he is just sad and shaky when we leave for work) and he has allergies to outdoor allergens requiring a daily allergy medication. I would recommend this breed to anyone looking for a loving, faithful companion. He is not tolerant to cold or hot outdoor conditions.

This breed has nothing negative about it. Our Barkley was the sweetest dog I have ever owned (and there were many of them of different breeds over the years.) Affectionate, good with people of all ages and other animals, low matainance, always eager to please, intellegent and easy to train. Have you gotten the impression that I loved this dog. He died of CHF at age 12, this past year - miss him terribly.

I have a 5 month old Havanese. She has been easy to housebreak and a delightful companion. She loves my grandkids and gets along well with other animals. More importantly my granddaughter who is bothered with allergies can play with her all day and not have a problem which was one of the main reasons I chose this breed. She's very healthy and this breed doesn't have many health issues to worry about. They do need to be brushed at least every other day and it helps to have the fur trimmed around their eyes or they get a lot of "eye goobers".

Gracie was a great addition to our family. Everything that you have read about this breed is true. Extremely Intelligent and affectionate. Training was easy especially if you have a treat. This breed craves attention. When Gracie is ready to play she lets you know by dropping play toys at your feet. These dog are small but not fragile and are fearless. They are very much cat like. Jumping from high places and cuddling around your neck for warmth. This breed is excellent with children and will play for hours. They will give you endless love and smiles.
