4 years ago I adopted a little dog found on a road in Pender County. I recently had DNA done on him and found he was a pure Maltipom. I am trying to find more info as to where he came from. He is appx 10 years old now and is a wonderful dog in very good health. Are there any groups breeding such dogs near Wilmington? Would appreciate any info you might have. Thanks. The dogs name when I got him and still is BEAR.

I have a 7 year old Maltipom who is about 8.5 lbs. Very loving, playful, great with other dogs, cats, and kids. Aside from occasional skin hotspots, and a bee sting allergy, no health issues. An amazing addition to any home!!

I own 2 Maltipoms one male, one female. Both from the same litter. They are the most loveable pets, not a small as I expected them to be. The female is more petite than the male. They do YAP alot, but with consistant words "quiet" they do listen and quiet down. The male is seems to be musch easier trainer. I wouldn't give them up for the world, best friends to have.

They are great dogs. Very smart. Mine didnt like to be handled that much until he was 14 months old, now he loves it. Loves excerise, has plenty of energy and would play all day long. Takes awhile to stop them from mouthing, but with lots of toys and things to chew on will stop. Mine grew to be over 12 lbs, but I like the bigger size, I dont have to worry about stepping on him.
