I grew up an only child, so my Morkiè was truly my life companion!! These dogs are by far the best companions and the easiest to keep around. Anyone who sets eyes on your morkie will melt at the sight of them immediately, taking a knee and extending their hand out in hopes they'll be allowed to give them some love, pets and belly rubs :) These dogs don't share the same stereotypes as purebred Yorkies like being called snobby or difficult to train. They're quite the opposite actually! Although they do become quite attached to their person, they don't get jealous like purebred would.☆☆☆☆☆/☆☆☆☆☆! I would recommend this perfect breed to anyone! They're hypoallergenic and do not shead at all whatsoever! They're fur is the softest thing you will ever get the privilege of petting and they will show you love like you've never experienced before!!! I had mine for 16 years and she was on my lap 24/7. Everyone knew her and everyone knew if I was going anywhere, my Bailey was coming with me!!!One thing I'd keep an eye out are early signs of Cataracts disease. Baileys eyes glazed over with a cloudy film when she was only 10 years old. We weren't given many options, and she eventually lost her sight completely :'(I've seen some advertising for Veteraninarian insurance (doggy health insurance) and i believe every dog owner should have it, for so many reasons! Love the breed…..we get to watch our son’s morkie when the family goes looking at colleges for our granddaughter……and although he looks for them and at the door he loves us and we him….adorable,funny just awesome and that’s theproblem we would like one just like him…….so we believe we just have to settle for watching him - which really is fine but my question is do they all have that personality????

We had a very special little fellow names Skippy Boy. He was born May 24, 2016 in Ephrata, PA. MORKIES are a sweet, intelligent, good natured little breed. Everyone that knewSkippy Boy loved him; he was little with a big personality, and loved to learn new things all the time. Skippy would play tic tac toe with me with pieces he could pick up and place on a board. We are interested in giving a good and loving home to another Morkie in the near future.

We have had dogs in our life all labs. One was a goverment dog that we took in after he retired named Coal. Then we had one before named Serena and our last lab Colby they all passed from Cancer. We are in our retirement community and would prefer a small dog. I love the Yorkie so much or mixed with Maltese.

I'd like to start by saying that I love my dog, Louie, more than anything in the world! However, if I could get another dog, it would not be this breed. I can't speak for all, but this is what I've found about my dog: Pros- Small/transportable, adorable, healthy (aside from luxating patella), good mix of attention-seeking and independent, easy to potty train; Cons- yappy, stubborn, difficult to train with every besides potty (will not sit, stay, etc. unless I have a treat and even then it's not always great), not cuddly at all (will sit on your lap but will not let you hug/cuddle him), and does not do "normal" dog things like play fetch, get excited about going outside, etc. He's a very sweet and well-tempered dog, but if you are looking for an affectionate mushball that will let you cuddle him, return a ball that you throw, sit/stay/etc., and not bark at every person in the hall or outside your home, this may not be the breed for you!

I got "Famous" at 13 weeks. He is now 9 years old. Famous is the LOVE OF MY LIFE!!! His temperament is that of an ANGEL and I'm not just saying it because he is mine. I say that because everyone who encounters him smiles, even people who say they don't like or are afraid of dogs. Famous is a natural comforter and support animal. People swear he speaks english because he understands words and is a quick learner. He is a true lap dog and although he loves everyone, he has a singular attachment to me to the point of separation anxiety. The only bad thing about him is his breath due to his refusal to allow me to brush his teeth or chew on dental sticks, but we all take it with a grain of salt. Over the years, the walks are a little shorter and the naps longer. I can honestly say that I have never known a love like this and am grateful to have been introduced to this loving breed.

I own 2 little Morkie girls who are biological sisters purchased from Greenfield Puppies. They recently turned 2 and are the loves of my life. They are incredibly smart, affectionate and very adorable. Everyone in the vicinity of my apartment comes to visit them and they just love it. My littler one Alliyah resembles the Yorkie, and although she can be very stubborn, she was easy to train. She rings a bell to go potty and knows numerous commands. My bigger one, Akiya, looks just like a Maltese, and clearly has the lapdog in her. They are both wonderful and accompany me on trips and while running errands. They have countless dog friends who vary in breed and size. They are very easygoing and have been the best dogs I have ever owned. I have also found that they are good with children, despite the stereotypes some small dogs have gotten. I would highly recommend this breed...they ate just perfect!

My little morkie was not as small as I thought he would be (8-10 lbs). He is 20 lbs but still small. However, he is the sweetest dog ever. He is quiet and pleasant and beautiful. He is very, very well behaved. I love him so much I want another. He is so well tempered and loves people. We walk every day at the park so he is for the most part very good with other dogs unless they are too agressive with him and then he gets nervous.
