This is the smartest loyal dog you could own. The 2 we have/had have very similar traits. Very trainable, as long as you are a leader figure. If this breed isn’t by your side, they will be by someone’s side. As puppies they need quite a bit of discipline, or crate training because they will chew on everything that they think you love. Very very smart breed! I know the dog can weigh as much as 170lbs, but they love to be in the same bed as their owners. 😍😍

Greenfield Puppies

The Neapolitan Mastiff is a very large dog! Originating in ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia, and Asia, they were later found in Northern Italy being used as guard dogs on farms and estates. Key features of this breed includes deep-set eyes with drooping eyelids and loose skin with lots of wrinkles. Their coat comes in gray/blue, black, tawny, and mahogany. Despite their large size and intimidating appearance, the Neapolitan Mastiff is very loving and affectionate. It is good to socialize them at an early age so they are comfortable with people and other animals. Firm, confident training with an experienced dog owner is a must. They need regular exercise and grooming is easy with regular brushing. The American Kennel Club recognized the Neapolitan Mastiff in 2004.
