I have owed full size Husskies in the past but now at67. And pot heart by pass surgery. It is hard because they take me for a walk lol. They chewed their way through my floors when I was intensive care and escaped like the escape artist they are and animal control picked them up but it is a good thing because a hurricane of lesser strength came right over us!. I love the Husky breed but I need a smaller version. This broke my heart. Literally and figuratively!

I love my little Pomsky, I don't know exactly the mix percentage but I assume around 50/50 anyways this dog has high energy and needs however they can be very fun to own. They have a silly personality from my experience and can be demanding needs wise. The dog sheds but not as much as other breeds and should be brushed daily and have their teeth brushed daily as they are vulnerable to dental disease. Pomskies are also not easy breeds to train. In my experience I have not been able to train her recently. It is also not a good dog for new owners. Personally like most other owners of dogs I found it frustrating when there are accidents or when she is difficult. However I adapted to it easily and she is a very good girl now but others may have it different. Overall my review on poms is positive excluding some bad qualities. And for the record they can also live in apartments if they are small enough. (Poms can be anywhere from 20-30 or more pounds.)

I have a year old male Pomsky and he is the best dog I could ever ask for. He is 25 lbs, extremely fluffy and looks more adorable as an adult than he did a puppy! He definitely has a spunky and confident personality. He loves to play with bigger dogs and doesn't give up. His favorite games are fetch and keep away. This breed requires A LOT of exercise to keep them from destroying your furniture. We usually go to the dog park every morning for an hour and then one or two walks throughout the day. I take my little guy everywhere with me and has become quite the little adventurer. He absolutely loves to swim and go on long car rides. This breed sheds a lot, don't kid yourselves you will have literal balls of fur all over the couch, floor, bed etc. He is very loyal to his person and rarely barks, only at people he views as a threat. He is crazy about paper products and will try to steal them out of my hands on a daily basis. Loves other dogs and everyone knows him at the park as the instigator that gets all the dogs to play. He LOVES to lick and lick and lick his humans. At night he mostly just stays at the bottom of the bed but sometimes comes and cuddles, but he gets hot very easily. I trained him how to go off leash when he was a few months old and I trust him completely. Follows and learned commands very easily. He has a small prey drive but will leave it if told to do so. Overall this breed is excellent for someone who is very outdoorsy and exercises a ton. Someone who doesn't mind hair on everything and the occasional chewed on chair. Very fun loving and outgoing breed that loves their humans and are up for any adventures!

Our Pomsky joined the family in October, 2018 at age 8 weeks, so she is nearly 2 years old. She is beyond adorable, intelligent, and sweet. Make no mistake: Pomsky puppies have a lot of energy. They love to run and leap. Our Pomsky is black, white and a bit of tan with blue eyes that make people swoon. She is a love and has brought more love and joy into my life.

I bought a white blues eyed Pomsky and I love him. He's active and playful, and very intelligent. I taught him to sit the same day I bought him, which was very quickly. He is healthy and strong. The breeders was very nice, and answered all my questions. If I buy a brother or sister for my Pomsky, I will definitely buy him at Greenfield in Gap Pennsylvania again!

Got my pomsky about a year and a half ago and let me just tell you they are great. They are very easy to train because of how smart they are. And with enough training they can be off leash. Mine grew to 24 pounds. She looks heavier because of her fur and her head reaches my knee. Pomskies are great and are very good with my three children. 16,10, and 6. She has never been agressive with them. She is energetic but with two walks a day she is normal. Pomskies are great and recommend them.

The best breed you can have if you have the energy and time to train. Beautiful and loving and a very clean dog. Again, requires a lot of time to exercise and play time. If you work full time and can't have someone walk or spend time with this breed during the day...find another breed. Pomskys require attention and exercise.

We have 2 pomsky pups. Our oldest is 4 years and a female. She is small for the breed at 15 lbs. She looks like a little fox with blue eyes. She is lovable, loyal and a huge cuddler! Loves people but not other dogs (think we should have socialized her but had another dog at home) She is tough too. Chases balls and rides along side of my husband in a Razor on our trails every day. She very rarely barks...not yappy at all. We adore her so much that when our Nova Scotian Duck Toller passed 5 weeks we knew we wanted another pomsky. Just got our little boy. He looks like a husky and is bigger then our female was at 3 months. He is 15 lbs. already. Thinking he will be about 30 lbs. He is precious too..extremely sweet and very loving. Our female has already showed him the ropes. She is a bit bossy. All good because he is very relaxed and accepting of her rules. Already started to take him out to socialize although came to us being very interactive and social. Very happy to be a pomsky owner. Love this breed!!!

Before you consider buying a "designer dog" please consider Siberian Huskies or Pomeranians - these are artificially inseminated to create what is a mutt- call them whatever you want but they are NOT a pure breed and you are overpaying for the science to create the dog- They are cute but so are Huskies and Pomeranians-

My family and I got our pomsky puppy 3 weeks ago. He has adjusted well to our home and older dog who seem best friends now. Our Pomsky named Riley is adorable couldn't be more happy he is intelligent and already mastered basic commands such a sit, down, give paw and,walks well on his leash. If your thinking of adding this breed to your home you will not be sorry but would recommend training to make your puppy all round good mannered dog.

Gentle, sweet and gorgeous. Loyal, loving to everyone and from our experience fantastic with kids. Can be stubborn but will listen with training. Does like to walk but not nearly as hyper as a full husky which is certainly an advantage. Our Pomsky isn't as much of an escape artist as a full husky but does like to dig in our yard. All around, she's the best dog I have ever owned and everyone always just loves all over her because of her great looks and charming personality. She also rarely barks, which is great. I highly recommend.

We have had our Pomsky for a year. We got her from Shenandoah Pomskies in Somerset, VA. She has a wonderful personality. She loves other dogs, cats and people. She is great with kids which was extremely important to us. She does well in her crate and is totally potty trained. We just adore her. This breed can be a bit stubborn (I have found that huskies and poms are both stubborn so that makes sense). She is very smart and not overly hyper. I think a Pomsky is a balance of two great breeds that alone have some issues. Huskies can be a lot of work to exercise where's Pomeranians are total couch potatoes. A Pomsky is a wonderful balance. Do keep in mind that this is a very fuzzy dog. We live in NC and had to keep the air way down in the summer and gave her a lot of ice to play with and a kiddie pool for outside. We never left her out there but it was still so hot for her, even just to play.

We own a 10 year old husky, passing of cancer. I have a shiba inu who is going on 4. I think the brains, loyalty and devotional love is nothing compare. I just received a liver transplant and a new child would be a new love and life for all of us it's been a tough year and a half. Their personalities would be inseparable and a great size. A new addition to my blessed life would only benefit me and our dogs.
