We were blessed to randomly rehome a black lab/rottie mix 14 years ago from Craigslist. He was the best companion we could have ever hoped to have. He gave his everything and we recently had to say goodbye last week, which was the hardest thing we ever had to do. Inevitably, there is no other breed of dog that we would ever consider having in our family. They are the best companions!

I recently lost my Rottweiler/Australian mix dog - his name was Fred. I miss him so much. Got him as a pup and he lived to 15+ years. Short story - I really want another dog similar to him. I have my eye on a Mini Australian Shepherd but if possible would rather have a another "Fred". He was such a sweet boy, never mean or aggressive. He always tried to make friends of everyone. He also loved my two cats. I highly recommend the mix.

Ari was a rott mix He was abandoned as a puppy and survived a house fire I took him home when he was 6 weeks old He was too he best dog I ever had He loved bed to be 13 years old and protected his family He was leary of outsiders . but once. You were in the house and he knew you were ok he was fine He but a burglar about 6 times he also attacked a man who followed me into my basemeñt from the outside. He loved his family and was a protector till the day he passed away We miss Ari alot and so does our boxer If your lucky to get a dog like Ari you will always feel safe

We just had to euthanize our 11 year old German Shepherd Rottweiler mix. She was an amazing dog with unbelievable temperament. She loved kids and she loves her 7 cat brothers and sisters. She slept in bed in-between myself and my SO. She's was just one of a kind and its killing me that shes gone.

Rottweiler mixes can be a very loyal, caring, and affectionate dog. Their bad population there given, is really based on the owner. If you don't take time to properly socialize and care for your dog, it will end up not trusting strangers or other pets. To them, they're protecting us, by barking, or snapping at someone. To us, they are untrustworthy, and a very dangerous dog.

One of the most interesting dogs I have ever owned. Healthy with some minor issues with his back at 15 years old now. Still going strong. Very intelligent ; goofy ; affectionate dog. Must keep him interested in something or he could get into trouble...lol.. Very healthy... Could maintain his weight perfect at 57 lbs throughout his life. Bad traits... Likes to lick a LOT....!!

owned two rottskies....best dogs ever, loving, ,beautiful, not barkers, but talkers, smart, so gentle, bursts of energy but everyone called them house cats cause they loved being more outside, except in snow....its best to have a fenced in yard for them. Unfortunately, we just had to put our one of ours down unexpectedly at 12yrs old, and now we are looking for another to help her grieving brother Patton. theyd never been separated but one day in their lives ever. we know shed best life ever, but weve to do whats best for him now, and hes a clean bill of health and is very sad. anyone, should treat their pets as furry kids, humans and give them the unconditional love they give you!

My family and I adopted a puppy from this website. Fawkes is now about 4 months old. He has been the easiest to train! We've had many large breed dogs in the past. He has only had 2 accidents in the house. He's so gentle with our five children. I realize that all mixes are different so take that into consideration when you go by reviews here. Our inly negative with Fawkes so far is since he was born on an Amish farm he's scared of pretty much everything. We're working on it! He's so smart and learns fast! Fawkes is a rottie and great pyr mix.

I raised my boy from six months....He was a Rott/Shep mix with the perfect mix of both...His heaviest for 125 however he was pure muscle. Very obedient but could be stubborn. He loved to swim...maybe the only other activity he loved more was getting his belly rubbed. Gentle and extremely protective of his area which pretty much was anything he thought was his. Easily trained but the Owner must be consistent with no time off because at the moment he isnt learning or practicing what he has learned, he is going to try the boundaries. Overall...i dont think i ever want another dog breed EVER

I got him when he was 1 1/2 years old and he was the smartest dog ever and loved other animals.
