I have an 8 yr Male. He is an absolute doll. Very cuddly and loves people. Gentle, playful and smart. Loves to play and run but hates the water. Does not swim. I previously owned pure bred German Shepherd females (beautiful breed) and my Shepsky is just as amazing just more affectionate and my GS's have been affectionate.

My family owned two sister German shepherd husky mixes. They were very different in temperament. Lila, was an affectionate love bug who didn’t know a stranger, and could and would eat anything. Kida was independent and spirited. She was pickier and less friendly with strangers, but loved and guarded her people. Lila used to go camping with my dad, and Kida was my moms walking and daily chores buddy. Both of our girls were wonderful, loving dogs. Would recommend them to anyone with the time to groom during shedding season (twice a year) and who could give them lots of exercise. They mellow out with age and, with proper training, make good inside dogs and off leash companions. Would love to have another someday.
