I had an amazing Smusky. There wasn't a crate that could hold him as a puppy. He was extraordinarily mischievous and energetic. He was also very loving, loyal and emotionally intelligent. If anyone was upset, he was by their side. He lived to be 13 years old.

I've had several full breed female Samoyeds at different times. Both lived a long and very happy life. Our first Sammy was given to us as a new born pup. She was very timid but great with children and always loving and loyal. Our second Sammy was purchased from a pet store. She was very active and not too easy to train. I attribute this behavior to being in the front window of the pet shop where she was teased and taken out just to be played with then placed back into the window cage. Nevertheless, she was wonderful and fun of full of life. Again, loving and very loyal and grateful. At this time I have a full breed German Shepard. She is awesome. However, should I have the honor of bringing home another dog, it would be a female Samoyed

I have not owned this breed but had a wonderful Samoyed/German Sheperd mix. We were told that it was 3/4 Samoyed and 1/4 German Sheperd and that they were trying to start a new breed. Our "Mickey" was the best dog that we ever had. He was friendly, playful, loved pulling us up hills yet listened when we told him not to pull down hill. He was house trained in just a couple days and always came and said "Owwt" when he had to go do his job. He was beautiful too with the main color being white and spots of brown and black on his body. He loved everyone and had a great time playing with my kids friends. He did shed a lot but that was a small price to pay for such a good dog. We miss him and keep trying to find another similar dog.
