Weimaraner Breed Review by Nita Hawk

Most loyal, calming, loving breed I've ever owned. The Weimaraner quickly learns the traits, moods, and temperment of their owner. They thrive to please their human family members, and always seem to provide exactly what you need. If you want to cuddle, they will sense that and end up in your lap. More commonly you will suddenly be sharing the couch. If you want to walk, or get outside the Weimaraner is an excellent walking/running companion. This breed is simply the best.

Weimaraner Breed Review by Lou Gianuzzi

Hi, I just lost my Grey Ghost , 11 yrs,he,was, with me, Blue, from 6 weeks old. Wednesday 31st of May at 3:14 had to put him down. Im heart broken. Ive had big dogs lat 27 yrs. 1st my golden retriever, nuggett, he past at 12. Then waited 2 yrs . Researched Weimers , like what they offered Blue chose me at a Breeders. Never looked backe. Total love, in your face, loved people, everyone loved him. Very, very intelligent. Trained him to strum different strings on guitar for treats among other extraordinary things , all on video. He lived to please mje and i him. When i staired into his eyes and kisses him ralked to him n his going over Rainbow Bridge I knew it was the right thing to do. I didn't want him to suffer just to please me. His hips, had fatty tumors, started seizures, after numerous Vet testing, and meds , natural meds to take,it was all catching up with him. His life was draining before my eyes. I am heartbroken. 11 years with this spiritual being, because I'm convinced he wasn't just a dog. Weimers are unbelievably superior. I have to get another to honor my Blue and continue giving a wonderful home to my best buddy. When he passed on Wednesday 31st of May a few days, ago 273 of my friends text me on FB to comfort me. A lot of them knew my Blue andxwh at a great dog he was. Neighbors were actually crying. I am writing this. I want another to keep the love in my house with this breed. God Bless.

Greenfield Puppies

The Weimaraner is a breed developed in 1800’s Germany, bred to hunt large game such as bear, boar, and deer. A man from Rhode Island brought over three of these pups, so that the United States would also have these intelligent, beautiful dogs. With their short, silvery-grey coat, they are sometimes referred to as the “grey ghost”. Other than their coat, another identifiable feature of the Weimaraner is that they have blue eyes as puppies that will change to a yellow color in adulthood. They also have a great sense of smell. During the Cold War, they were used to sniff for missile parts. It is good to train this breed early. They are motivated by treats and positive reinforcement. Loving and affectionate, they are great family dogs. With their short coat, grooming is very easy, mostly needing a bath every few weeks. The Weimaraner was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1943.
