The west highlands white mixed breed we had shed quite a bit, it was not an issue because it was worth it. He was very expressive and got along with everyone. He only had issues with the mailman or people wearing hats.

Duncan, our Scottie/Westie mix passed this past June. We had him from the day he was born and for the next 12 years. He was Wheaton colored and weighed 28lbs. He was an amazing dog, smart, obedient, loving, watch dog, non barker, easily trained, and good with children. We are looking for another Duncan. His father was the Scottie and his mother the Westie. Both parents were AKC registered dogs. Would appreciate any help with finding one of these breed of dogs. Male or female any color. They are truly a wonderful breed of dog.

The best! My girl Annie is 13 y.o. passes this week. Heart is broken. Breed is loyal, protective, intelligent, engaging, and beyond loveable. Strong willed and territorial; kills rats, squirrels, and ain't to find of cats or chickens eother.... lol. But it is true than true, this dynamic pup will keep you laughing every day , engage you in "grunt" conversation, and well,, steal your heart. Being small, Annie pretty much went everywhere w me for 13 years..including international travel. She met the world and they just loved how cute she was...but..watch your fingers, she can nip if you get too close. After all, she's my dog! I miss her..looking for another pup..just the same....

I would like to fine a Westie/Scottie mix. I live in New Mexico but will travel for the right puppy. I’ve had three Westies. Currently only one a 1 and 1/2 year old that is our baby. We reciently had to say goodbye to his playmate as she was very old and we inherited her from my husband’s mom when she passed 5 years ago. I own a 1 year old Westie mix named Kegger and I absolutely love him. He was SO quick with potty training and all kinds of other training as well. He is pretty high energy when he sees his tennis ball but also has no problem cuddling right up and watching tv. He does have a little bit of separation anxiety but nothing severe, it might just still be due to him being a puppy. Over all an amazing companion.
