We had an amazing experience with our Yorkie Poo. She was super intelligent and very protective. Would pick up your body language very quickly and figure it out. We had to spell words to out think her. Very independent. Not a dog that loves cuddles or to be picked up - just wanted to be close to you. Very loving in an independent way.

My dear sweet little girl Pepper recently passed away,after we had done everything we could to save her. She was our, "Third Child." She lived to be fourteen years old. Pepper had a very high I.Q. as well as a very high E.Q. She was my service dog. I had many surgeries over the years and she helped me through them with flying colors. I've had many dogs in the past however, Pepper Potts was the most intelligent dog I've had. Believe me, I have LOVED ALL of my dogs and I miss them all. Thankyou for reading this. The first dog i ever got was a black yorkie poo, when i was 16. He will be turning 9 this year, & i can say he hasn’t slowed down too much over the years. He is so sweet, loyal, attentive, and extremely smart. People think I’m joking when i say my dog understands English. My yorkie poo loves meeting new people and other dogs. Although he doesn’t really care to play with other dogs, unless they are huge. His black hair is starting to turn a bit grey and white, but oddly enough grown adults still compliment my “puppy”. It’s crazy that he’s almost 10, but still looks so young. Another great thing my dog does is pay attention to my emotions. He is not a trained emotional support dog, but will stay by my side and try to calm me down if I’m stressed or literally in tears. I’m so thankful to have my dog in my life. I already know, whenever he eventually passes away, i will get another yorkie poo. I’d recommend this breed to anyone looking for company, and a dog that will actually listen to them

We rescued a Yorkie Poo when he was around the age of 5. He was the sweetest, most devoted, easy going dog we have ever had. He still had the terrier spunk, but it was complemented by his complete devotion to our family. Unfortunately we lost him a couple of weeks ago, but we are in the process of hunting down another Yorkie Poo. Riley was not super high energy, though I wouldn't consider him low energy either. He was spunky through his last full day with us. He barked at me when I sneezed my loud sneezes and I really miss it...he would "make me" pet him after he would do this. He was easy with kids, though we did always have him stay in our bedroom when the youngest kids were over, just in case. He was more protective of my daughter when she was younger, then treated her like anyone else when she got a bit older. He was wonderful with my cat, who passed just 10 days before him. He would lay by her when she wasn't feeling good or when he wasn't feeling good. We only had the little guy for 5 years, but he made a lasting impact on us. I know this is supposed to be comments just on the breed, but he was a great example of his breed. He was great for an older couple and maybe just okay with kids, but way better with kids than our Westies we had previously. Riley was also not good by himself and seemed calmer when he had a companion, which was my cat. He was very easy to give meds to, when we needed to, which was great because he had severe allergies and needed to have his eyes cleaned out twice a day. His groomer had nothing but compliments about his easy going behavior there. He was a very good judge of character, as he used to bark like crazy at my exhusband. He did need to be restrained when guests, especially men, came to the house until he felt more comfortable with them. These guys pack a lot of personality into a tiny little body.

I bought a Yorkiepoo in the spring of 2016. She has the sweetest disposition and is wonderful with the rest of her brothers and sisters (she is #2 of 5). I also have a Yorkie and she is not as high strung as the Yorkie. She weighs 9 lbs (which is about 1.5 lbs. more than she should), but she eats so little, I don’t want to reduce her intake further. I had a DNA test done on her, and she is a Yorkipoo mix. Wonderful, sweet pet.

We love our Yorkie-Poo. We found him on this site 6 years ago and he has been a blessing. He is very, very smart and we had to revert to spelling certain words around him because he knows what they mean. He was super easy to train (only took 6 weeks to house break) and mastered the basic commands (sit, stay, down, come, etc.) in about two months. Wish we could have afforded two.

I’ve never known such a wonderful furmily member as my Toby, a yorkipoo. He was with us for 12 years and recently left this world Unexpectedly. His personality was exceptional. He was funny, incredibly loving, well behaved with a little bit of imp! Always happy. His departure has left our home very empty and my heart, terribly heavy.He was very healthy aside from needing a few teeth removed, which is common with these little guys. He was without patellars.He LOVED other dogs and ferrets and of course, new people. But he was very possessive and protective over me... his number 1. He was always happy to make new friends. I will indeed bring another yorkipoo into our home someday, when my heart is ready to love again. I’ve never known such a wonderful breed as a yorkipoo.

I am 71 yrs old and have had dogs all of my life. From a Boston Terrier and Boxer as a child to a German Shepherd when my children were young to a YorkiPoo rescue in midlife. I just recently purchased a Yorker poo for my dad, to give to him for his birthday. I was supposed to keep him for 1 week and then we were to give it him for his birthday. He had just recently lost his Yorkie pure breed that was only 5 yrs old due to an infection in her uterus. I have fallen in love with the Yorkie Poo. He is so sweet, smart and is doing excellent with housebreaking. We have always purchased pure breed yorkies for the past 20 yrs and they were very hard to house break and we lost 3 at the ages of 4, 5, 6, due to illnesses. I'm presently looking for another Yorkie poo to purchase because we just can't part with the 1 I originally purchased for him.

I have a 2 year old 13 lb yorkie poo which I love. He is multi colored and just about the greatest thing that I could have done. I would love to buy a female to mate him so my daughter and son can have a puppy with his genes. I am a Viet Nam Disabled Veteran and having my Yorkie poo gets my mind off of my medical problems. Having a little female with help too.
